The BRCGS Global Food Safety Standard has set the benchmark for companies specializing in food ingredient manufacturing, processing, and packing for nearly 25 years. This international standard was created to check for compliance throughout the entirety of the food production process. It was the first standard to be GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) benchmarked, as well as introduce food safety requirements.To receive a BRC Certification, companies must go through both an incredibly thorough training and auditing process. This ensures brand reputation through compliance with their standards and helps build confidence in the supply chain. The BRCGS grading scale ranges from “AA” to “Uncertified” in the order of “AA,” “A,” “B,” “C,” “D,” “Uncertified.”
